Well after 9 hours the cam went in, everything runs fine and the only code i got was from not putting the gas cap on after reliveing the pressure... (DOH!) But at idle the car seems to drop the volt meter down and it surges the lights kinda dim. This i blieve is mainly from the hard idle causing the tensioner to loosen up around the movement of the motor... Would a higher output alternator fix this problem?
But for the good news: The cam i bought is a boost/Nitrous cam, but running N/A for the moment... 210/220 .512/.512 115 LSA Power is very noticeable, comes in at about 2700-3000 RPMS and pulls into the rev limiter (need to raise that a few hundred or so) Plan on getting it to the dyno in a few weeks once all the ticks and rattles are out of it. I have ran the marked 1/4 mile by my house and havent timed it, but seem to be hitting the mark at a bout 95 MPH, so we'll see in a week or two what it does for real when the track opens again.
but other than the voltage problem everything went well, did it by myself over 2 days. and i DID NOT have to pull the radiator, condenser, OR fans its just a matter of moving a wire harness that crosses the fans.
Once the new numbers and times are in I will update, I believe I am the only one running this cam, and I guess I am the guinea pig but I have no problems with that. I wanted to be different and go a little off the common path.
Later everyone, keep the rubber side down!
