havent done it on a 3.4 yet but....remove upper plenum, valve covers, lower intake, pull pushrods and lifters out, remove timing cover, might have to remove waterpump for that, then unbolt the timing chain, retainer plate, pull cam out carefully, don't knick the bearings, same on the way back in withthe new one. line up the dots on the sprockets and re install the timing chain, reassemble everytihing, make sure to adjust rockers properly, quarter turn past zero lash, use new lifters adn pushrods.
Thanks i can use all the info i can get. Hey the engine has to be a Top dead center doesn't it.... I dont know im sooooo tired stayed up late workin on this man i cant wait till im done
Thanks again
Dakota

it doesnt matter where the pistons are positioned, just line up the dots on the timing sprokets where both dots are inline, crank one at 12 and cam one at 6

One very important thing he forgot that has to come out :) The oil gear in the back left hand side of the block. It will look like a small silver cap. Pull it straight up. Might take some force but it will come out. Make sure you replace the seal. DO NOT USE THE OLD RING SEAL.
The water pump comes off with the timing cover. They are attached. Make sure you use all new seals.

Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
