That's 240 rwhp....which is about 70hp over stock. But I do agree if it's not a forged crank, it's not worth it due to the limitations.

This sounds like a nice way to go. In many ways as long as you have the knowlege to build and install this engine yourself. I've been bouncing back and forth about the LT swap and giving this rather impressive V6 more. From what little I know cryotreating the crank/rods/pistons/block for that matter is that you gain alot of strength along with less friction, because cryotreating changes the steel at the molecular level making it smoother, and stronger by something like 30%. They do this to most of the racing go-cart engines to make em last longer and give more power. 70mph carts (not shifters)with 5hp brigs engines tweaked to the extreme. They get a full season and more outta them before rebuilds compared to if your lucky half a season before power drops off sometimes much less without the treatment. It's not much cash to get this done either.
Die Ford where do you get this idea that the cranks wont last for 20,000 miles at 300hp? Besides stroking always builds torque not hp. Sadly they dont say anything about the rear wheel torque that this kit makes in numbers anyway.
What I really want to know is how are these cranks reworked???? Like one guy said they would have to take alot of material off the rod journals to do this. That doesnt make sense it would still be the same length stroke regardless.
This is a kick *** way to get some (quite a bit) extra power without the mad cash its gonna take with the V8 swap.
