He works for SLP also.
I think SLP now has some interest in the V6 community because we have one of our OWN in there!

I hope you are right James, but the 3.8 S2 has been in our cars since mid 95, and now they are finding things to do to it? SLP completely dissed the V6 F-Body, the stuff they are doing is for the W-Body. Yes the motors are basically the same, but why wait 8 years to offer us something?
I hope that now they will see the market they forgot so long ago and develope some excellent products for us, although it isn't really "for" us, it is for the front wheel drive cars, we are just lucky enough to use the products.

Ok. This has officially turned into a pi$$ing contest. Since I was order # 1 on the tbyrne GP for these, I will volunteer to keep you posted on what I think. Don't ask for a dyno. Don't have time. Not even sure when I'm going to get around to installing them. Apartment complex + New England winter ain't easy. Plus I'm getting married in 4 mos. So time isn't a luxury. But I'll do what I can. Let's just agree to disagree, shake hands, and see what happens. We're all arguing over speculation. Different setups react differently to different mods.
I'll be part of the GP, I just hope my Income check comes in this week or before the 15th of this month. Keeping the fingures crossed, I want these rockers bad, plus with a GP it's a great deal. :D
I believe SLP came up with the LS1 version of these rockers the beginning of last year and the 3.8 rockers were available the end of the year.
There are 3 orders in as of today. I'm going to post this in the GP section of the board. You can also check the status in the GP section of our website.
this is interesting, iam htinking about the rocker arms myslef, but it would make more sense to get the camshaft at the same time, since you are already taking the engine apart.
You'll have to take alot more of the engine apart to install a cam. I usually either go with a head/cam package or a supercharger to power most of my performance cars. I'm picking up '99 LS1 convertible for a daily driver and will be doing the rocker arm upgrade. I don't want to change the idle and the install will be much quick so it will be an easy way to pick up some horsepower.

Welp, like on the other post, got my income check in, and looks like I'll more than likely be #5 on the GP. Have a question though. The car that was tested had headers. Will the tubular manifolds that I have on my 2000 be just as good, or in other words will they work with no problems. Also, I have a Jetchip stage 2, I'm pretty sure the 1.8 rockers will not have any bad effect with having the stage 2 chip, but I'm not real sure. Some one please help me on these questions. Thanks.
