you need to pull that metal clip off.. they kinda snap over the injector and hold them in. Pull the clip off and the injectors should come out.. twist them a little to ease them out.

Hey I did this yesterday. lol I got it down to almost an hour and didn't even take the alternator off. (brag mode off) lol

I found an easy way to get the clip off. Take a pair of needle nose plyers and use them to open up that little clip and it will fly off. The injectors like to get stuck in the rail, just pull and twist. The rubber grommet may get stuck in the rail so make sure to pop that out with a little screw driver. Use a little oil on the rubber rings to help reseat them in the intake.

Injector change, I've now done it several times and it is pretty easy just kinda time consuming.
The best thing I can suggest is a chiltons manual.
I followed the steps in the book and it was my first time.
I have always used just a screw driver and pushed the side of the metal clip slightly off and then used my finger to push the rest of the clip off.

Here is a tip when installing new injectors.
Always use new o rings but before you instal them take a bit of motor oil and put it on all the o rings.
This helps them to seal a bit better.
O rings are cheap so definately replace them each time

you odn't ahve to take them out to pull the fuel rail off, the clips slide in place, just turn them back to where the injector can slide out

does the fuel rail on those interfere with removal of the lower intake? if not, why not leave fuel rail in place, disconnect fuel lines, and take the whole thing off as an assembly? really the only time i've needed to remove an injector from a fuel rail is because of injector failure and replacement, or replacement of leaking o-ring seal. even if the fuel rail interferes with access to lower intake mounting bolts, the fuel rail itself should pop out without having to remove individual injectors. when you pull these out unnecessarily, you increase your chances of a developing a leak that you could have avoided.
one thing i learned long ago: if you are not replacing a specific component and only need to remove it to get it out of the way, look for ways to remove entire assemblies as a unit. this has saved me hours of labor time, and time is money in this business. literally.

Take off the fuel rail, leave the injectors on.
