Comp Cams vs Alum 1.9 rockers????

I am trying to decide what to get. What i do want is a nice idle but dont want to go to extreme. I am thinking of maybe running NOS but i havent decided. I have been doing some research and they have dyno proven a 3.8 Grand Prix GT with 1.9 to produce about 230 hp and 240 or so torque. I am not sure on the numbers, I have just installed my Torque converter and 3.73.s w/ LSD, Shift kit, servo and polished and ported the upper and lower intakes as big as can be. I am have good low end grunt but need to pick up some top end. I was thinking of going w/ the rockers since i have seen those dyno #'s but i need some opinions such as should i change the valve springs to adjust for the simulated cam grind with the rockers. Or would the cam be the best bet. I do want to keep cost under $1000 so i need some opinions.

You cannot simulate the gains of a good cam by using increased and possibly unsafe ratio rocker arms - period.

The gains of increasing rocker arm ratios are mainly through the slight increase in effective valve duration, not in the increased lift. Also, the more lift your cam/valvetrain has, the higher the powerband will be, and the less lowend you will have.

I think the 1.6:1s are plenty with a properly ground cam. Keep in mind everyone is out to sell something, it doesn't mean its the best option =).
