• Hey Tiago, did you have to customize those roller rockers you put on your 3.4L?

I am currently installing the Crane Gold Racers right now and noticed that the underside of the roller rocker hits the spring retainer and it also hits the new studs since the rocker sits too low. I can grind a small amount of matter off of the rocker and that will work. Is that a good idea? What did you do? I guess longer pushrods may work also but I don't have any on me.

I got the crane cam 250801 and all of the recommended equipment form Crane, pushrods, springs, retainers, locks, etc. Do you think it would be ok to remove a small amount of material from the rockers? Do you think that it would weaken the rockers?

depends how much, if its just a little for clearance it should be fine.

          Do you feel real lucky?

It would definitely weaken the rockers. The bottom side is the tension side and your clearancing would create a stress riser. Add to that, aluminum doesn't have the greatest fatigue properties.

A longer pushrod would be a much safer solution.

would doubling up on the valve cover gaskets provide enough clearance for you?

            (insert oil leak remark here)

edit:disregard. failure to fully read & comprehend question gets me a

that would be the best idea, and no doubling the valve cover gaskets wouldnt help, has nothing to do w/the problem...

I didn't have any problems with clearance on mine. I have the Edelbrock valve covers though.
