I plan on putting 3.42 gears and a LSD, also SLP CAI, and pacesetter headers. I was wondering what type of camshaft I should get or if I even need to get a new one. Thanks for any help

When getting new gears, headers, etc. It is not necessary to get a new cam. Your stock engine can take good advantage of those mods.

I would consider doing a search on cam specs in advance tech and I would spend countless hours researching what would work. Thats just me.

If you want something that you don't have to research and is nicely packaged and tidy, just order something from ZZPerformance, according to their recommendations.

If you want to do something a little different, try a search and see if you like something better.
    I did.

Listen, you're in the right place, but you really really (did I mention ...) need to do a search. This topic has been thoroughly discussed throughout this forum, specifically. Read the post at the top that is stickied -- it has a link to cam specs in our database. Then click on the search button and type in something like "cam" or "cam daily driver" or "performance cam" or "VS or GT cam".

Not to sound harsh, but this is an absolutely always-asked topic.

As for your situation, I wouldn't bother getting a cam until you're sure you want to start messing with internals, etc. There are plenty of other options to start out with.

The INTENSE stage 1X is good for daily driving with more power. If you want to sacrifice some of your drivability, get the INTENSE stage 2.

Just get the ZZP GT cam it's a good one for daily driving and great quarter mile gains with stock heads..;)
