  • Need help with cam

Im new to the whole cam thing and i need help. I am not sure what kind of cam i should get. The mods that i will be doing is full cat-back exhaust system, headers, 3.42 gear. So should i get the N/A street performance cam or the N/A high performance cam. I also will be getting Rocker arm package from SLP and was wondering will it work good w/ the cam. Also if the rocker arm package i picked from SLP doest work well w/ the cam please show me which rocker arm package will work well w/ the RIGHT cam. BTW ammperformance.com has the SLP rocker arm package that i was looking so you can see the specs of it and tell me which cam will work well together. Sorry for such a long post and thanks for all the help.

Here is the cam i was looking at:

Listen, you're in the right place, but you really really (did I mention ...) need to do a search. This topic has been thoroughly discussed throughout this forum, specifically. Read the post at the top that is stickied -- it has a link to cam specs in our database. Then click on the search button and type in something like "cam" or "cam daily driver" or "performance cam" or "VS or GT cam".

Not to sound harsh, but this is an absolutely always-asked topic.

As for your situation, get your intake / exhaust done, and then see about a cam or whatever's next. A cam is a big difference (in lots of things, i.e. price, installation, driveability) compared to an intake.

And, while I'm here, get a cam that has lift, don't make up for it with the rocker arms.
