I tried to install it and the car ran like a dog and i got a code it was high voltage ignition system or somethin. Maybe you could give me an idea of how you wired it up.

Did you use blue the wire to select the number of cylinders the car has? For a 6 cyl you need to ground it with the black ground wire.
Sounds like you may not have used the correct timing control wire going to the ICM. I don't have a pinout of the 2000 wire harness, only 98 and I know 2000 is different.
Anyone have a 2000 pinout diagram?
I hooked mine up according to page 2 of these instructions:

I tapped the yellow wire to the ground wire.it says use a body ground but i just taped to the other. Sounds like you have it hooked up correctly. Only other thing I can think of is the trgger in and out wires are backwards.
I haven't run the unit without the boost retard feature but I can't imagine that it wouldn't work without it.
