    PCM Diffrence ??

    OK i did a search on PCM but didn't find the answer i was lookin for so please don;t bash me if it is someone just tell me where ok

    Here is my Dielema *spelling* I'm one of the beta testers for Batmans SC kit well i'm gona go for the 10 psi and PCM reprograming but i can't have my car sit for how ever long it takes to get the pcm reprogramed what i wana know is what do i need to look for specifially to get a pcm from a junk yard so i can send that in instead? and i can drive my car while i wait here are the spec on my car 1996 3.8 suto 3.08 gears fully loaded 2nd gear shift but No and i repeat No y87 package

    Do i just need a pcm that has the same gear ratio program or what? please help me out dose the year make the much diffrence either? thanks anything would be much appreciated [img]graemlins/dunce.gif[/img]

    The PCM should be as close to your car as possible to start with. At the very least, it MUST be the same year, same engine (duh) and More than likely, it will need to have the same tranny.

    I'm not to familiar with GM PCM's but most programs will download ALL the specs and upload ALL the specs, regardless of whether it's been changed or not. (that's some experience from some import crap, but I think it would work the same)

    This could pose a problem, depending on what capabilities Batman has. You would really have to ask him.

      a 96-97 3.8 A4 w/308 gear pcm will work. firebird or camaro.

        Well Bill at Mach performance is the one that is gona reprogram our Pcms from what i was told i kidna figured the engine and tranny had to be the same but i didn't know about the year and the gear ratios settings if they are relavent or not i guess i'll might have to call bill myself and ask him or have batman do it for me

          95-97,98, 99+ all have their own wiring harness pinouts.. change from one of those 3 and you need to modify your harness
