Jetchip for 2000 Camaro 3.8

Alright, I've been searching all over these boards and the internet and I just can't seem to find an answer to this. I have a 2000 camaro with the 3.8L. I've heard mixed reviews of the Jetchip stage II, is it worth the $250? Also, the stage II says it's designed for cars with free flowing exhaust and cooler engines, but I can't find a thermostat for the 2000 V6...
I have the Fast Toys Ram Air, Whisper Lid, K&N Filter and the Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust. I think with those mods I should have enough air flow for the stage II. Which thermostat am I supposed to buy? Or do I just leave it stock?

there is plenty of discussion on here bout this topic. Personally, id say go with a 180 thermo to give you best performance. You could probably leave it stock but it would be in urs and ur cars best interest to get a new one... Thunder Racing has the 160's for like 10 bucks so you can probably find a 180 for around the same... http://www.thunderracing.com/index.c...ategoryid=1040

SLP also has these thermostats. They are made for Grand Prix's, but they fit just fine.

Hey ideutshc, [img]graemlins/wavey.gif[/img] Is your car a Manual or an Auto. If it's a manual then I have a Stage 2 Jet Chip I will sell you for $150. I'll be taking it off my car here pretty soon since I just ordered the custom programmed chip from Tbyrne. Just let me know if you are interested. I still have the box it came in and the directions. Also, if you are thinking about buying one. I myself went with the 160 thermy and I bought a manual fan switch so I could turn my fans on whenever I needed or wanted to get the temp. down to 160. I have an auto, otherwise that would be great... I wasn't too sure if the thermostat for the earlier years would work in the 2000. Thanks for the replies.

I checked on www.jetchip.com and the model number is the same for both the 2000 and 2001. I would think it would work, but I am not 100% sure. You may want to email them and ask jetchip if it would.
