You shouldn't need to adjust them, as they have no adjustment. You only need to be sure they are torqued to spec. And check for any obvious problems like too short/long pushrods, etc. Our lifters do take up a little of the slack. Now if you go aftermarket, then it is different.

You must replace your rocker bolts anytime you pull them out. They are a "stretching" bolt and you will risk breakage of one if you re-use them. Here is the part # if you need it:

      24503515 – Rocker Bolts 12

They are about $1 a piece. Just wanted to make sure you knew that. ;)

Here are some torque specs if you need them also...

valve lifter guide retaining bolt: 22 fp
valve rocker arm bolt: 11 fp + 90*
valve rocker arm cover bolt: 89 inch pounds

Thanks guys. I didnt know for sure if they have adjustment. But I was talking to a friend of mine, he's an old geezer. He told me they need to be adjusted. He also told me how to install the distributer. When I told him I really dont have one he was baffled. Get with the times ya old geek!
