  • 99+ maf sensor - new question for magnus

Magnus, what part did you use?

    I found a 12568877 that apparently supersedes 24508238.

    gmpartsdirect lists it for $106...

Also, what other tools/parts will be involved in modifying the tb? I can probably figure it out, but if you have some tips, that would be great.

      Magnus,
I emailed you a picture of a little "porting" job I did on my '98 maf sensor. Maybe you can take a look and tell me if this is anything close to the '99 sensor... I dremel'd all the plastic away from the wires, down to the base of the sensor. (or maybe I should say up to the base)

      edit - added:
Sheesh, I took it out and ran it, and it's further off than ever... Even took the wot setting up to a full 14% rich, and still ran lean. That was on top of a 10% base rich. So much for that idea.
