  • ticking help.... inexpensive fix?

the ticking is getting louder, more often. at light throttle/idle.

    Loose rocker?
how can i tell which one it is?
how hard is it to tighten it up? (teardown process?)

what would labor run for someone to do this?
(last "rotating assembly" i put back together broke a crank)

my tick was a loose rocker..

if you have a stethescope, you can use that to isolate the cylinder that it's coming from. a pipe long pipe can work too...just move one end along the cylinders and listen at the other end, for where the tick is loudest.

easy to tighten up, but you should really replace the bolts themselves, 'cause they're torque-to-yield type. you just have to pull the required valve cover off, & there are the bolts. you might have to remove some accessories like the icm tho. easy to do.
