Ignition upgrade in very near future.....

Now that gas is killing me in my wallet, I've been lookin at ways of getting a bit better gas mileage, besides the common ways of less driving and less gas pedal when driving. I've been looking at getting an MSD-DIS-4 for my car, based on the test results done in the mod section. I figure if they can gain .2 in the 1/4 and 2.5-3 mpg on a stock car, I could gain at least that with all the modifications I've done to mine.

Do u guys think that I should just get the DIS-4, and get coil packs too, or get DIS-4, coil packs, and wires? Also, do any of u guys who've had them installed know how much it cost u in parts and labor to put one in?

I've heard the DIS-4 doesn't help the 3.8s mileage...
It helped my performance and mileage, but I have the 3.4. I didn't even get coils or wires either.

My cost was this, everything brand new:
DIS-4 was about $300 I think
3 Coil Interface Units: $70 (if I remember right)

Then I was going to buy MSD coils and wires which the wires at $80 I think and coils are some where in the area of $65 each (need 3) so total cost you're looking close to $500.
I don't know if there is a difference in price for the 3.8... labor is nothing, you can do it yourself.

Then what is the point of having that test posted on the website? if it doesn't help, then why did they get gains from it on a stock car?
