Oh I wasn't saying it doesn't sound good, it sounds great for a 6. It just doesn't sound like a V8. A V6 no matter what you do to it will not sound like a V8. It might to someone who doesn't know the difference, but to the trained ear it's blatantly different2000 Firebird. If you listen, the second time I revved it, it went up pretty high and didn't rasp that much at all. Thats what a cam can do for your sound also..
I never said it sounded like an 8, but I think it sounds better than a lot of 8s...
When I want to hear a V8, I will start my next project.
You all know what that is....
Instead of EMailing a bunch of people, here is the lobe list...
3303 On this list.

Yeah I posted more in the lounge about it.
Its a 69 RS Z28. DZ302 Engine that is pretty much built to the hilt. I will convert to solid roller cam and maybe Fuel Injection...
Thanks for the complements everyone. Anymore cam questions, let me know. I also did the install myself, for those that don't know, so you can ask for advice if you need. I am happy to help.1997 Chevrolet Camaro v6 - 13.8@104MPH

you wouldnt have done a write-up on your install, or had one that you followed, have you? were the springs required for this cam? aside from gaskets, what other parts were required for the swap?\'01 Mineral Grey SVT Cobra<br />-former F-body owner

I will write a page on in sometime soon.
I roughly followed Magnus' writeup.
Not much else needed. I broke a plastic tube from the intake manfold to the front cover (water pump) area. It was a good thing to replace anyways.
Springs were not needed. I just like to be safe, plus I got them for $20.00 with LS1 Valves (didn't use the valves).1997 Chevrolet Camaro v6 - 13.8@104MPH
