  • quick valvespring question

I am installing LS1 beehive springs on friday. What kind of valvespring tool do I need? Can I use a cheap one from autozone or sears, or do I need a special low profile tool due to the windshield extending out over the engine?

I am afraid there won't be enough clearance between the heads and the top of the engine compartment to fit in a huge craftsman valvespring tool.

Get a small valvespring compressor made for changing the springs in the car. It should be small enough.
That is actually what I used to do my valvesprings even though the heads were off because our regular valve spring compressor was all old and crappy.
