with the retainers and seals giving an extra .050 clearance, would the heads still have to be milled?

what would be the benefit of using the roller rockers?>

i need the supersixmotorsports email, the page wont come up for me. hopefully someone can build these for me.

does it really take a cam and heads to run 13's?
maybe it is just me living near sea level, but i see 3.8 V6's run 89-90mph through the traps all the time with little or no mods. craig griffis went 89.5 with just a lid.
all you really need to run 13's in terms of trap speed is about 97 or 98mph. that doesn't seem like it woudl be difficult to come up with by adding bolt ons and getting a custom tune.
then it is just a matter of traction and gearing, with 3.73/4.10 gears and settign the car up to cut a 1.90 or better 60ft a 13 seems like 13's woudl be a rather simple task.
does this make sense or am i missing something major about the 3.8's capabilities?

I might have 2 go 2 the track soon after I mod my car some more. I'm sure dead hooking with my TC would put me close to 13's with 3.42's out back.

the better ets you strive for, the more hp you need... 200hp=15s for us v6s.. for the v8s 340hp (underrated so i put it back where it should be). Mid 13s

ya see?

Nobody has hit a 13 yet without a cam, but Magnus was damn close with a 14.0.

the difference between 92mph and 100mph (15.0 and good 13's) is around 100hp. Keep wishing

you need a cam, you wont see over 240hp without a different one or FI.

im not trying to "wuss" my way into the 13's. all the mods i have already mentioned are going in, just not decided on which brand of parts to go with/ actually need.

Are you accounting for an aftermarket torque converter?

that sounds more like a traction issue than a motor issue to me. i have seen a lot of cars, including my old rs, go 15.0 @ 89.5 mph. 100mph is a low 13.5 or a 13.4 in a good hooking and properly geared car.
i was more refering to just getting into the 13's, like a 13.90-13.95 run.

Yes the pedestals still have to be milled for everything up to .550 The retainers and seals allow for additional lift over .550 which would otherwise result in crushed seals in our heads, even with milled pedestals.

I figure a low enough 60 ft. can put me close to 13's. liek i said, if i got perfect traction off the line, and I had these mods:

FTRA/Whisper lid/K&N/!MAF, MSD-DIS-4, coil packs, CIA headers/open cut-out/3" cat/3" cat-back, HPP3, and maybe a ZZP electric water pump. those are just to make power. then:

2.55 str, 96.8% eff., 3000 stall TC, 3.42 gears, 1LE DS, SLP LSD, 255-50-16 tires to get the power out back. and:

BMR lca's/sfc's/relocation brackets/phr, and 21 mm swaybar out back 2 help put the power 2 the ground, hopefully getting perfect traction. I think i could get damn close if not break into 13.99 range.

if you are going to be close to 13s.. wouldn't 373s be better? If i'm wrong someone tell me why.

with the mods listed i definitely see 14 second car. but i guess it depends on the tuning and probably a cam..

I don't plan on swapping gears ne time soon. when i do, i'll be getting a 12 bolt put in with them.
