  • stock coolant pump VS. ZZP Electric Pump?

does the stock pump run off of the accessory belt?

If the stock pump runs off the belt, then what happens to the belt when u switch to the electric one?

does it keep the same stock pulley, but the pulley doesn't drive anything?

if the stock pulley is used, then would the ZZP lighter overdrive pulley use a little less power since it is lighter?

Yes the stock pump runs off of the accessory belt. When you run a short belt (for me, 61.5" worked after reverting to the stock WP pulley), you still retain the water pump PS and alt, just lose the A/C.

Not sure how it works when you switch to an electric one. My guess is that it sits in the same spot but is flush and has no pulley.

Then I'd have 2 get a shorter belt for it?
