  • SSM Regrind w/ .50" Lift VS. .450"

What are the benefits/differences/problems associated w/ going with stiffer valve springs and .50" lift instead of stock springs and .450" ?

Is it worth the extra $200 on a NA daily street driven car?

Going with a higher lift is usually so you can decrease the duration and improve idle and fuel economy. Going from 0.45 to 0.50 lift on a normally aspirated L36 is probably not beneficial unless you plan on your powerband exceeding 5800rpms. Ask Tom and see what he says though since he has more experience in this matter.

I personally think 0.450" lift is plenty of our cars with the increased duration. For example the compcams grind at the grandprixstore has a higher lift because it doesn't have near the duration of the SSM.
