Need some info about cams.

Well I looked at Compcams and found a cam I liked a little bit and it seemed really nice but is their anyplace else I can look?

also Do I need to change lifters I know I need to change the valve springs because the new rates from the Cam but don't know where to get new springs or what kind?


any help. im looking for something that will be more in the middle performance wise? if that makes sence. not this big bad ungodly cam or not this little bitty one either..

any ideas? and info would be nice, the Comp cam I looked at had a lobe of 112 and it had some impressive numbers.

ZZ performance that is all about Grand Prix's right?

I seen a cam in the top link Matt that caught my eye and after reading I realize that I need it more.. its a mid power range.. and you can gain a little off it. but when I Checked ZZ performance it was all about Grand Prix's.

ZZP mostly focuses on the GPs, but alot of the parts are interchangable since the engines are mostly alike. The cam I run is from ZZP. ;)

so Matt can you help me out is the 113 Lobe cam from ZZP able to be worked with my car?

and I heard something about Tabs? what is this?

All the cams on that page will work on your car, but you really must understand the differences when chosing one. If you can't pick a cam based on the specs alone, you shouldn't be getting one in the first place.

The tabs have to do with the cam position sensor on the 3.4 engines. Not important for 3.8s.

Im looking for a mid range one one with excellent power and that works with mods good.
