I got the crane 272 grind because it will work good with a turbo.
That 2030 has some good valve over lap and should make a nasty idel.
You will need to better you intake and exhaust to even get an idea of what that cam can do.

he is looking for info on this particular cam due to the fact that it has no camshaft position sensor tab on it... he is hoping that it wont be needed as long as the crankshaft position sensor is functioning properly

we are thinking that teh cam position sensor is only there so if the crank sensor goes out then the car can still find TDC and make its way home instead of leaving someone stranded... if this is true the the 2030 cam will work as long as the crank sensor is functioning

This performance flat tappet hydraulic camshaft is used in the new 3.4-liter engine conversion package (P/N 12363230) and is also applicable to 2.8-liter and 3.1-liter engines. Designed to increase mid-range torque and horsepower, this camshaft is ideal for daily performance usage. Applicable to all 1980-94 Chevrolet 60º V6 (2.8-liter & 3.1-liter) engines, this performance-oriented camshaft kit is designed to significantly improve mid-range torque and horsepower without sacrificing idle quality. The basic RPM range is 1500-4500 with 6500 RPM attainable using proper valve springs. Cruise RPM is designed for 2200-2600 RPM, and a compression ratio of 8.0-9.5 to 1 is recommended. This kit is not legal for pollution-controlled vehicles. This camshaft kit is designed and manufactured by Crane Camshaft Co.® for GM Service Parts Division. The kit includes (1) camshaft and (12) tappets. The duration at .050 lift (intake/exhaust) is 204º/216º, while the value lift is .427"/.454". Lobe centerline is 112.

Specs on 12363220 & 12364059 are the same.

Not certain why you think they are the same when one has lobe spacing of 112 and the other is 107...

Im looking at getting a 2030 right now and am a little slow right now to understand this. Is the 2030 cam a good cam upgrade or should I leave mine stock? I want a few extra ponies.

                    So the question still stands.......
                    Does anyone have one?

Ive got the 2030 crane cam in my 94 3.4L .The car runs fine but it runs slow as hell.Im not sure whats wrong with it. Ive had it checked 3 times and the guy that rebuilt my 3.4 says the car is fine.

The car should be running quick but instead its slower than ever. The car runs great but im not sure why its that slow. Maybe some tuning is needed? I dont really know. This is why I bought a GTP.

Forgot them hydraulic cams. Go get a crane 250801 solid lifter cam and have some real fun!

And with the cam sensor, OBD 1 cars use it just to verify the crankshaft sensor. If the crank sensor went bad, the engine would still run using the cam sensor and it would throw a code. You can get away with using a cam without the camshaft position sensor lobe but you will be out of luck if the crank sensor takes a dump on you.
