Im thinking about getting a new cam for my 97 RS. i can do some basic mods like the exhaust, intake, etc. but I think the installation of this would be a little out of my league. Does anyone know about how much it would cost to have a new cam installed?? And any suggestions on a good sounding Cam??

It will be a lot because you have to take the hole frount of the engine out to the radiator and a/c condencer.
Depending on how big of a cam it is you will need new springs and once you do that you will need to take the heads off so you dont drop a valve down in there and at that point your all most rebuilding the engine.
You will need new lifters too.
If there real good like me they won't pull the heads and will turn the crank so the piston is up in the bore and the valve can't fallmore than a 1/2'' or so into the combustion chamber.
How many miles do you have?

Now if you have the time and maybe a bud that knows what their doing to guide you along the way you can do it. You did the other mods so your mechanicly enclined enough to do the job with a little help. And There are two ways to replace valve springs without pulling the heads off if your going with a nice loppy cam. But with 80k you should replace the springs anyway. 1st one is use compressed air, Napa/others have fittings that screw into the spark plug hole's pressurize the cylinder and hold the valve up for you to change the spring. 2nd just like oil pan said exept I use a piece of string tie it on the valve and keep tension on it so it wont slide down as you compress the spring once the retainers are off and the spring out of the way keeping side tension on the valve. Tie another piece of string around where the notches are on the valve untie the other and lower it down. Started doing that after another engine I was working on even though the piston was fully up still allowed the valve to drop to far and I couldnt retrive it.
