Need a new bottom end to hold up from lots of nitrous

umm, seems to me that ive always heard that nitrous loves high compression, blowers dont, higher is better for nitrous (within reason)
Your wrong, it likes high compression but to a point. If you plan on running a 150 shot like mentioned above i wouldnt go any higher then stock compression. YOu will have detonation and tuning troubles with high compression and a big shot. Thats why its not reccomended.

You are the shiznit!!! 3800performance had the pistons I need in stock. Now I don't have to wait forever to get them. I can get my car put back together asap. </font>
NP, tell him Andrew sent you

The pistons I ordered are in transit. They will net me a 9.5:1 CR. I am also getting the cyl. heads milled .030". That will raise CR another point or two. I am keeping it below 10:1.
Financially, this bulletproof rebuild has cleaned me out. When I get back on my feet, I will convert my NOS 5175 to a wet setup. I might ghetto rig a full manual two stage, just to keep life interesting.
Who has built a bottom end before? I am thinking of letting the machine shop build my short block, in the interest of time. I have never done it before, and I don't want to screw it up.

They actually got to me really quick. I think he gets them fast because he has a vin # from a car that has them.

I might have to put in new valves. My aircraft mechanic buddies are machining them right now, and they think a few might be bent.
