wrong. i heard nino's car before he had my headers put onto his car. it just flows alot more air but not V8ish. you will not ever get a V6 to sound like an 8, just accept that please

Not to flame, but what do headers have to do with the question he asked? He asked about the powerpak not headers. A good cam and heads will give a quite awesome idle sound that closely resembles an 8, but if we wanted the sound of an 8 we would have bought one.2002 Maple Red Firebird V6
3.73 w/ LSD | Pro-5.0 Shifter | Fan Switch | Tach w/ Shiftlite | Boost and Fuel Pressure Gauge | Bilstein Shocks & 1LE Springs | 1LE 32mm Bar & Poly Bushings, Poly Tranny Mount and Torque Arm Bushing | BMR LCA\'s | Catco 3\" Cat w/ Edlebrock 5509 Muffler, (all 3\") | Corbeau A4 Seats (Pair) |
http://forums.fakeleg.com
http://cv6.fakeleg.com - Part & Repair Manuals and write-ups.

It never fails, i have to go and explain the basics between the two motors. Ok, basics like V6 config, fireing order, bore and stroke, and crankshaft are all the same between the old 3.8 and the new 3.8. The difference lies in pistons, heads, intake, cam, rockers, valves, and other small things. Also no turbo. The differences really do not change how the motor will sound, because they will both sound the same with the same amont of work done to each. Except for the turbo sound on the old 3.8.

i'm actually looking at LT1s dood at least they sound better than the ls1's lol
toast you obviously know nothing about GN motors. the ONLY similarity between ours and theirs is the displacement. that's IT, and that's all i have ever been told by RESPECTABLE members of this board. don't assume a motor is the same in certain areas just b/c the displacement is the same. are you sure it's even 3.8 liters, not 3.79 or 3.81? like the infamous 4.9 ford motor? Well i know alot about the old 3.8s because i use to own one. I got rid of my 87 Gn because of the constant problems that i had with it. Please go to www.gnttype.org and learn alittle about the old 3.8 also know as the LC2 before you say anything. The web site will back me up on what i said. Inliten yourself alittle. :D2004 Dodge Dakota 3.7 litres of raw power!!
Nothing but a 6!
Do you know for sure? John 3:18

I wanted a 3.8 camaro because i know the 3.8 are good trusted motors with alot of pontental behind them. Also it was cheaper to insure than an LS1. :D The 3.8, old and new, has always been proven to be an awesome V6 next to chevy's 4.3 which is a different beast all togther.2004 Dodge Dakota 3.7 litres of raw power!!
Nothing but a 6!
Do you know for sure?
