    I hate my computer. =) Ive got a 97 Ive seen many people change to 99 PCMs and such. I dont know a whole lot about the differences by year, but is it just 99 + thats better or is 99 a specificly good year? thx

      I have a spare 97 PCM for sale if you are interested, I know you can't swap a later year easily- you have to rewire the wiring harness, which (a la Magnus) is a huge pain in the rear.

        I believe 95-97 are interchangeable, the 98 is POSSIBLE but I believe its cut and splice stuff, 99+ have electronic throttle so I don't believe a pre 99 car can go up to a 99 PCM!

          I really want to get rid of it... it'd be perfect if to send away to be reprogrammed, or use on your car while you send yours away.

            You can't use a 99+.. you could use a 98 but it really wouldn't help you over a 97. To use a 98 you have to completely rewire the PCM harness and do some other stuff with fueling and evap.. huge PITA.

            stick with the 97 PCM imho.

                LoL what the crap , thx magnus. Who does reprograming on the Pcms, I might buy urs for that reason. I dont need a PCM, I just saw ppl changin and i hate mine.
