can somebody please tell me how much you are supposed to torque the rocker arm bolts on a 3.8L? i already did what the book said which was to set the valve lash and then tighthen the rocker arm bolt 1 and a half times. is this the right way because the rocker arms seem very close to the valve cover oil fill tube when i look through the hole

go from cylinder to cylinder. Tighten the intake rocker when the exhaust valve is just beginning to open and tighten the exhaust rocker when the intake is just about to close.<b>Black</b> 1998 Pontiac <i>Firebird</i> A-4 swap<br />271.4rwhp/259.4rwtq NA<br />13.30@102.44 <br /><a href=\"http://www.freewebs.com/wickedsix98\" target=\"_blank\">www.freewebs.com/wickedsix98</a>

There is not really a way to set the valve lash. All you do is torque the bolt down when the valve is closed. The rockers are not adjustable on the L36.92 S10 3800 A4(96)<br />1/4: 14.374 @ 92.25 w/ 1.976 60\'<br />Turbo and 12\'s Coming Soon!

hey wicked how did you get the shorter pushrods
since i figured that they are agrivating my problem, i need 6.98" pushrods since the ls1 valves i am running in the heads are a tad longer
which means the longer push rods are just raising the rocker and causing it to compress the valve3\" Eldebrock catback exhaust<br />rksport powerdyne<br />pacesetter headers<br />VS cam,compcams pushrods,ls1 valves,5 angle valve job,p&p,<br />and total seal piston rings<br /> <a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/ride/804031\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.cardomain.com/ride/804031</a>
