I'd like to see this. How are you planning on doing the distributor?

well it all depends on how the motor ends up fititng under the hood. im using a crab type distributor. and it shouldnt be all that hard. if i have to cut out some of the firewall to fit it i will.

Impact wrench makes everything come apart much easier. Disconnect the torque arm from the rear first, it's not that bad. Use all new hardware, don't try to reuse anything under the car.

Why a TH350? I never understand anyone who gives up OD unless they absolutely have to.

            http://www.pro-built.net/

Going from EFI to Carb can be a PITA. Are you going to use a mechanical pump or retain the stock in tank pump? I used a mallory 3 port regulator with my stock pump. I was told the pump I had would support 400HP. If you fuel system can't give you enough volume to support the 350 you will have problems. I wish I had just used a mechanical pump but I wanted to avoid dropping the gas tank.

            http://www.taekwondoplus.org/z28/fuelpump.html

That link shows you how to change fuel pumps by installing a trap door. I would suggest you intall a new fuel pump designed for a carb (5-9PSI) and trash the stock intank pump.

Don't forget you have to wire up a fan controller, since the computer will no longer be doing it for you. You can buy adjustable fan kits that will turn you fans on/off at certain setpoints.

My car is an 87', but I went from EFI 305 to carbed 350 and the EFI to carb switch was annoying. Just alot of "little" things you have to keep changing.

If you have any specific question let me know. I know the engine bay from a 3rd to 4th gen is different but the general swap requirements are the same.

well i just gave up on the bolts for the rear torque arm and decided to just cut them all off. all my bmr parts are in and the stock bolts wouldnt have giving me much thread to put the bottom nut on and my mom works at a heat treat plant she can get me new fastners easily. It was a pain getting the driveshaft off, stupid two piece. what was gm thinking. the center bearing on the driveshaft that connects the the torque arm was a pain. so i just left that part connected. i chose the th350 because its a cheap and easy trans for the time being. i really wanted a 700r4 but at the time of purchasing hte transmission i didnt have the money for a 700r4. due to the fact that i pay 685.50 a month for insurance on my truck. the whole 200 i have left at the end of the month goes to gas and the car.

about the fuel pump. the engine has 450hp without a carb on it and without the exhaust ran. after i get those two items done im expecting 480-490 on the motor. now i know the stock fuel pump would not beable to put out the kinda fuel i need at the presure i need. im going to go with an inline fuel pump, im not sure what i want yet. so basically the stock one is getting pulled. and getting our fuel tanks down is a pain in the butt. theres a few heat sheilds under it. the exhuast is ran under it and the panhard rod is right underneath it. so im debating wether or not i really wanna tackle that or have a place do it for me. and im thinking about doing the same as you for the regulator because even tho its a four barrel carb id still like to have a lil bit beter gas milage so i wanna run a return line. but i just realized after looking at that trap door site. i think im going to do that to remove the pump and install a tube so i can run the fuel line the way i want to run it plus this way i can kinda do it with the 13 gallons of gas in the tank still even though its not that wise to do. but how can i get rid of the gas lol.

now about the fan i just planned on wiring from the battery a toggle switch and mounting it under the dash. this way i can control when the fan runs. at least for the time being. once i get this car done ill be saving about 400 a month for insurance.

as for reusing nething under the car i didnt plan on it. except for the uper and lower a arms and tie rods and steering. thats about all under the car that i plan on saving. now the rear end is new but i might go ahead and replace it. id rather have some fun and blow it. (not like ive never done that before, the v6 went trhough two of them, traction was not very common and when it was clunk went the rear.)

from bmr i ordered a kmember for the small block chevy. I ordered lower control arms(tubular) i ordered their trak pak torque arm. boxed subframe connectors, and trans crossmember for the TH350 for the first set of Gen 4 fbodies.

i need to get ahold of a mig welder to weld my parts. im sure ill run into things im not sure of. i will be asking questions.

pics will be up soon as i take em.
