  • Oil Pressure on Startup

I am just wondering if it is normal that my engine does not have any oil pressure for like 5 seconds on cold startups.

The reason I am asking is because recently, I am having a very loud valvetrain noise on startup untill my oil pressure comes up. I am assuming this is a lifter, and as soon the pressure comes up, the engine starts running normal. My engine has 110,000 on it, so a lifter going bad is def possible, but I am just checking to make sure my oiling system is working correctly.

    Thanks
