  • Mild Cam in 3.4

CRN-254112 is the part number from Summit.According to the specs of it,It seems to be a mild cam for the 2.8,3.1 and 3.4 motors. It says stock computer compatible.Since this is not a radical cam or anything is there anything else need to go along with this cam.Can I just pop this in and go or is there more involved? Is it also smog legal with a full exhaust and CAI?

    Specs of it:
    198 Intake lift
    204 Exhaust lift

Intake and Exhaust duration:258 and 264
    401/423
    RPM Range:1,000-4,000 RPM

you might gain 4 HP from adding that cam

it would deffinetly work with stock tuning, lol it has 3* more duration than a stock cam and about a tenth of an inch more lift

i doubt you would even feel a difference after adding that cam

Is it compatible with smog issues? Will it work balanced with a CAI and full exhaust?

i dont see how it would cause any trouble with smog... its just a hair more agressive than stock.

"will it work balanced with CAI and full exhaust?" ... explain, that makes no sense to me

I mean driveability problems, like crappy idle etc....Since its not very aggressive,Can I just pop it in and go? or are there tons of other parts involved? It comes with new lifters also.

go for a more aggressive cam....after all the work it takes to do a cam swap u will really be disappointed w/ the results from those specs

that would be a pretty good choice for a mild cam, i put a comp cam 206/212, which is pretty similar to that crane cam, in my 3.4 and its computer friendly and gave me about 10-15 hp. i wish i would have went bigger but its too late now.
