What are you doing to be able to run .637" lift? What springs are you gonna run with that lift?
I hope you're not gonna try to run stock heads with LS1 springs like you indicated in another post.Matt

so did u calculate the 1.9's with the cam specs to get .637"? cause i didn't know how to calculate the 1.9's in. intense-racing has some springs that will hold the lift the high load springs.
and it looks like im going to need to p&p my heads.96 camaro 3800 series II, A4
BONE STOCK NOT FOR LONG

This is very basic cam stuff here. The kind of stuff you should know before even thinking about upgrading the cam.
1.9 rockers mean it's a 1.9:1 ratio. .325"/.335" lobe lift on the cam, multiplied by 1.9 means .6175"/.6365" at the valve.
Porting and Polishing the heads will not allow you to run that much lift. You'll need to have the valve guides milled down. Even then, that's a hell of a lot of lift.
Stick with 1.6 rockers. If you're gonna get some modified heads, you could use 1.7s if you really wanted.
Be prepared to spend around $3000 for heads/cam and install. $2000 if you install it yourself, but I wouldn't recommend you try that.Matt

Even if you get that much lift to work, the heads dont flow much over .600 and for a street car thats really not needed. All you will be doing is wearing the valvetrain out quicker.Black 1998 Pontiac Firebird A-4 swap
271.4rwhp/259.4rwtq NA
13.30@102.44
www.freewebs.com/wickedsix98

also id assume your gonna need a good amount of tuning to take advantage of the cam...im sure it will move your powerband even further up the rpm range. Id say shift points, timing and fueling would be good areas to start in ;)00 GTP
98 Camaro v6
See, told ya I\'d be rockin another 4th gen :D
V6 & V8 tuning available at http://mysite.verizon.net/whenn1/
