can our Intank fuel pumps put out 7-9PSI? what is their pressure rating and can i cap off one of the Return Lines. I need to kno cause im using a carb and will it bust a regulator. from what imt old a walbro will drown the carb no matter what i do for a regulator, is this true?. if neone konws and can help me i would greatly be apreciative.
thanks
Our pumps are actually going to want to push out closer to 45psi and upwards for an aftermarket variety. The one such swap we did here, we used a Holley frame mounted blue pump, which came with a regulator. You cannot use your stocker pump, or at least I do not know of a regulator that can handle it for your application.

ok so frame mount the pump and just pull the old one and put fuel line down tot he bottom of the tank? Or will i have to Sump It. I dont want to have to sump the tank.
We made a provision to have it gravity feed from the bottom of the tank, into an inline filter, and then to the pump. It was the easiest thing to do with the time constraints we had to deal with.

yeah but my problem witht hat is cutting the whole in the tank welding. i dont have a welder, and the fact there is 13 gallons of fuel in the tank. will it work top feed?
I believe they used some sort of epoxy around the fitting at the bottom of the tank. I know they didn't weld anything on the tank. The fuel in the tank is a problem, you could just siphon it out into containers or another vehicle. Top feed I think would actually be more difficult, because you'd still have to fabricate something to hold a line at the bottom of the tank perfectly still so it could suck gas all the time, even in corners.

I don't work there anymore. And it was a one off custom job. Go to a parts store, preferably one that has parts for drag cars from brands like Moroso and Edelbrock. Tell them what you are doing, and a good parts guy will be able to help.
