I'm not trying to be a dick but I had the same abintions before I realized that it can't be done with a ****LOAD of money, and if you have that kind of cash then just sell it for a built LS1 car.
any 3.4 or 3.8 woul be crazy to push 1000 HP on the stock pcm

All that revved to 9000 RPM or so will net you more than 350HP. Won't be a street car by any means though.
9000 RPM wouldn't be necessary to build 350 horsepower and besides that I dont think the heads will support that much RPM.

the 3.4 is just as good as the 3.8. as far as tuning, there are tuners for the 3.4, you just gotta look for them. 800-1000hp out of a 3.4 IS possible.

If there is a tuner for the 3.4 then tell us cause there are a few people that would like to know, man I have a 3.4 I'm not trashing on you or the 3.4 I am just saying that there are no tuners for the 3.4 mostly because the 3.4's CPU is an acualy chip and not a program that can be edited so any tuner would have to burn a chip then run it on a dyno then burn another chip and run it again till they get it right so its not an easy plug in and tweak like the 3.8, LT1, & LS1. As of right now, unless you know of someone, there is not a single person that wants to take the time and spend the money to get the stuff to tune 3.4's. there is just not enought demand to justify someone doing it. It can be done there is just not enought demand to justify someone doing it.

I not talking about fastchips, JET, Hypercrap, or anyother mail order tunes I am talking about a full on tuner who can custom tune your car based on what has been done and adjust the fuel tables and such accordingly

</font>[/QUOTE]dude, there are tuners for almost any kind of car. they are out there. they might be hard to find, but they are out there. why do that to a 3.4 you ask? well, that's the whole point. if you have a 3.4 with 1000hp, you can say "I got a 3.4 with 1000hp". you're thinking in a way that takes the easy way out. "Oh, get an LS1, it'll be easier". no, I want to make an achievement. that's what it's all about, the achievement. making a 1000hp 3.4 is a much bigger achievement than making a 1000hp LS1, because it's harder. why do you think a ricer with a suped up honda civic would be so proud of himself if his car could blow away a corvette? don't knock on the people who are going for the extremes.

Lambo you act like a 1000 HP LS1 isn't an achievement...

Any car can be made fast. It just takes money. End of debate.

Lambo I see you got your car in 2004, it's 2006, AND STILL STOCK.

I would bet money you will never see 200 rear wheel hp from that car.

man i wanted exactly what you are going for but after a year and a half of research i realized its not going to happen because there IS NOT ANY TUNNERS FOR THE 3.4, look all you want its not out there. All your going to do is spend a ton of money to build a badars N/A motor that won't even run right if run at all cause you can't tune it

i'm only 20 years old. 800-1000hp is a LONG term goal of mine, not something i plan on seeing any time soon. also, i haven't had that much money to put into the car for the past 2 years. i do plan on getting the K&N FIPK pretty soon though.
