You are getting good advice here - the choices you make in compression and cam timing are conditioned by whether or not you are going to have an engine operating under boost or not. You have to decide before you start, you do NOT build a high compression conventional engine and later decide to turbo or blow it.
If you think otherwise, with respect, you don't know what you are talking about.
What's with your 'lambo' tag - more daydreaming? ;) I somehow doubt it is because you own a Lamborghini......

Picking a power output almost at random, not based on anything much other than wishful thinking, and insisting that you can do a build that requires 12-13:1 compression and THEN add a turbo (hint - you'd have to toss your pistons and camshaft away to do that) doesn't make you any points here.
We were all young and inexperienced once - hang around, and say less than you listen and you might learn something.

its just that you are thinking beyond reality with your car and haven't researched what it takes to build an engine. You can't just throw parts at a car and think you will automatically have 500 horsepower. There is a lot more to it than that.
The comments you have been getting from members come from years of people new to the modding world coming up with crazy ideas that just aren't realistic do to lack of research into the subject matter. It is seen a lot on the boards here and people are just grounding people that come here and make them think realistically.
We are trying to help you out by lowering your goals to something reachable. ;) Now you just got to do the research behind building a solid 3.4l engine and you will be well on your way.

I don't *think* lambo meant build a high CR motor, then boost it... I think he meant to just put forged internals in it, then boost it. I dunno though.1997 Chevrolet Camaro v6 - 13.8@104MPH
