  • Cylinder Head Research Part II?? need feedback

    Hey guys,

I recently performed research regarding all aftermarket port jobs for our cylinder heads. Its posted as a sticky.

I have been doing some reading lately going further into the world of head flow and have worked out some pretty cool formulas having to do with volumetric efficieny and such.

So i am proposing a part II of the research. The information would not be very practical in terms of head selection but more on the lines of head design.

Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.

Any guys with the 3.4 L motor have any interest?

I would do a research for the 3.4 application but im not sure if intense zzp or abbott port those heads. I only know of SSM that does the 3.4....correct me if im wrong.

If there is significant interest in the 3.4, the I will consider doing it

I'm interested, but I'm not sure what you are wanting to research. Are you talking about changing port angles and dimensions, or is it more like what you did with the 3.8?

well, yes, I will be doing a research for the 3.8 building off the first post i made. It will have to do with yes valve angles and flow velocity and other effecting factors. But like i said this would be rather impractical because it would be more on the design basis not info for selecting heads.

For the 3.4, I would be willing to do a research like the one i did for the 3.8 if i see that there is enough interest. As of now i may have like 3 people interested which i dont think would be enough for me to indulge in a month of on and off work. The only drawback to this is that i am not personally aware of many 3.4 head porters besides SSM. correct me if im wrong.
