    if you got brake cleaner on your crankshaft position sensor could that cause it to short out?

    I wouldn't think so.
    If you drop it it might, its just a magnet/ inductor system basically.

      i wouldnt worry about it. i know on my aunt's ford tarus it was a major pain to get in/out. but like ryan said, you should be fine.
