hey everyone i talk to scott from intencse and he told me this:( No. LS6 valvesprings work just fine with stock valvespring retainers. They both measure exactly 0.645" ID in case you want to verify this yourself. We've installed these on hundreds of cars without issue.)

            Hope this helps.

so what do u guys think should i still do the retainers?

The diameter has nothing to do with it. The issue is the install height with the different retainers.

Scott is not a very intelligent person. That is not the issue at all.
Ask scott to look up the stock install height on an LS6 spring. Now have him look up the v6 spring. Its .100" off. The max lift on an LS6 spring when installed .100" lower than it is designed to work at is .500" and not .600" like they think it is.

I believe they are identical, so it doesnt matter which ones you get.

                        Yeah they are the same.
Stock ls1 retainers are really cheap from some LS1 friends if you have any.
