i'm looking into getting my PCM tuned, what are my options? could i switch PCMs with a '00-02 car to use a hypertech, or other edit software? should i send it to TSP for tuning? or are there easier ways?
i did search, i found a bunch of stuff for '99+ cars, and '97-down cars. nothing posted about '98s pertained to my question.
it appears that TSP and HPTuners are about the only options i have for my car, correct? out of the two, which is better? i realize i gotta mail the PCM to TSP for tuning, while HPTuners i have directly at my fingertips. is the higher cost of HPTuners worth it?
I am about to get tuning done from Intense racing. I was really looking into TSP, but they said they could not offer me a "dual mode" tune. I want really aggressive NA performance, and I want to calm it down at the flip of a switch so I can use nitrous.

You can run a nitrous and N/A tune w/ HPTuners just need 2 different .bin files 1 for each tune. It is just a matter of moments to swap between them.
This is exactly my plans a N/A tune and a Nitrous tune and just upload whichever I am going to run. It isn't quite "the flip of a switch", but at the track that shouldn't matter.
1st: I am graduating from college in december. I am gonna break down and buy an 02 SS shortly thereafter. I don't want to keep pouring cash into the v6.
2nd: with my tail between my legs, I will admit that I will not be able to extract the full potential of my vehicle if I tune it myself with HPT. Thus, I am gonna just let intense do it (since they know what they are doing) and save myself some cash. I should get it done from them for under 300 bucks.
