  • Swapping injectors..

One thing i havent done on my car is messed around with the injectors. Well when i had the new motor built i pur mustang 5.0 19# injectors and when i get a freee day im swapping the stock 17's back in.
    THIS IS A 3.4 BTW.

Just involve taking the upper intake off. How long?

i dont know about the 3.4 but on my 3.8 all i had to do was unbolt the fuel rail and pull it up and out. i dont think you would have to take the upper intake off.

yes you have to remove teh upper intake manifold to be able to remove the rail.

If I were you I woudlnt' swap them out though. Whats the point? you aren't running rich enough for it to be a problem.

You getting a lot of carbon buildup throughout your exhaust? That's what tipped me off either I had a fuel ratio problem or not enough spark. I replaced coils, plugs, wires and thoroughly cleaned the throttle body and intake, problem solved.

So anyway, I'm guessing that 3.8 injectors wouldn't be a good idea for my 3.4 then...

Teal - are you running an AFPR? If so, turn it back down to stock PSI and see what happens. OR put the stock one back on. I'd run stock PSI with those 19lb injectors and see what happens.
