does the cam have a camshaft position sensor tab? if it has ome you will be fine, if you dont have one then you will not have SFI... if the car runs right at all

BTW you know that you probably wont feel any better throtle response or any more power with that cam right?

then how do i know if the cam has a cam sensor lobe on it? when you say SFI are you meaning that i wont have my SFI fuel injection system? you dont think that cam will do anything?

thats one of the most mildest cams ive ever seen it might as well be a stock cam on a car with 1.6 ratio rocker arms

if the cam hasa little tab sticking off of the (forgive me for drinking way too much beer last night and not thinking straight today, but i cant think of the name) (place where the cam rests in the front journal) then it will be fine , if not then the car will batch fire teh injectors instead of in sequence for when the valves open

well i wanna run the 2030 now, but what are we supposed to do about the cam sensor tab? if the car runs like ****, why put a cam in it? do all cars have the cam sensor? is there a cam out htere that has the tab on it?

And I am in his same boat. :( Mine did not have a cam sensor tab either. It wil not allow your SFI to function, ehich means it will batch-fire. Batch firing is more comparable to a carberation system or a TBI system. For example, with SFI the injectors fire 1-2-3-4-5-6. But with Batch fire, when number 1 is ready to fire, it fires 1,3, and 5. So in other words, the WHOLE right bank. Then when 2 is ready to fire, 2,4,and 6. So in other words, it runs pretty rich. I cant wait to save up some more money, etc, and get me a custom grind and port and polish many things. :D

You could always take the specs from the Crane 2030 and get Comp or Lunati to do a custom grind for you.

Hey, the part number on my cam is 12364059. The cam you are looking at is the same cam as mine, except with a different LSA. My cam is higher. And I beleive that camshaft doesnt have the cam sensor tab either. About batch firing. I dunno, I dont like it too much. It runs rich, so it basically killed my gas mileage. Yet it has very good midrange, and better top end. Its a tossup. I think I am going with a custom grind.
