This question is about my parents' dodge grand caravan. Apologies in advance if this isn't the right place, but I was wondering what's the legit cost for a complete transmission replacement? The auto trans on the van is totally shot, according to the dealer. I was quoted about $3700, parts and labor.
My parents want to do it, but I am leaning toward ditching the van since it's a 96 with 150,000+ miles. But it looks like my dad's gonna get it replaced. So, what do you think?
