ive got a 3.4 in an 88 camaro and im wondering what timing chain do you recommend? should i go w/ a double roller or just stick w/ stock for now. im not sure where ill be at in 2 years or so, but im hoping for a complete rebuild w/ all the fixins by then. ive got a cam going in w/ a bit bigger roller rockers, and all the bolts ons right now. i dont think i should need it, but i seem to keep going through timing chains, everytime i pull that cover, its stretched out enough to replace, the current one has less than 20,000 miles on it and its about done for. ive been buying NAPA chains. any thoughts, suggestions, ideas, comments, etc?
