• complete 3.4 rebuild help

I've done a search and haven't got any answers im looking for so here goes. I am getting a bare 3.4L block and I want to rebuild it into a power 'monster' without forced induction. I'm on a limited budget 'cause im a student so I was wondering if anyone knew some good performance parts. Such as 9.5:1 pistons, crankshaft, connecting rods, heads, throttle body, fuel injectors. Thanks in advance for any info!

I would poke around in this forum (http://www.s-series.org/) and see. A lot of S10 owners swap to the 3.4L. Here's a list of stuff to:

I just got thinking that when I get the engine done what to do with the PCM? Will it freak out because of a milder cam or the compression ratio or will it re-lean the new specs? Probably reprogramed is the best way isn't it? It would suck to get engine with some power in there just to be reduced by the computer freaking out.

If your going through all that build up then \i would get it re-programmed but only after you've done everything.

I've got a spare PCM. By letting this person use/test on it do I get it back programmed for free with my sepcs?
