What it boils down to is i payed for this product under the idea it would fit and found out it won;t and now they said well we can refund your money or regrind it. But i can;t wait to make it right anymore my job is suffering. Without a ride. Also they still claim there record show our cars did not have cam sensors till 97 what up with that now they want documentation claimin other wise

Legally not much if they are offering to refund your money or make it right. Unfortunately in law things do not happen quickly. At this point if time is a problem then I suggest that you go back to stock. What do the say about the 2020 CAM they have?

I sent you a private e-mail. I'm sure people do not want to see the legal aspects of this. I think this is more for Advanced technical so if we can leave this thread for that and the private for the other that would make this more beneficial to others ;)

Well they checked there books and said they don;t have anything for the fact of the cam sensor nor did comp. The only thing that can be done is a custom grind so i either wait till i get more mone again and do more reasearch or buy something else for the car. Hey whats a good estimate on my 1/4 time with all these mods base on what you know

Flowmaster, three angle valve job, port and polish, bored over instead of 3.62 now 3.64 and slightly milled for better fit heads. ALso how much is .02 over. To think all of this because i want my car to beat a 2001 mustang Gt. I started modding for my boss said i will never beat his stock 2001 gt

BTW - I have a 95 3.4L. The 95 and very late 94 models do not have CAM sensors.

Yes you do according to a friend (mechanic) Apparently in very late 94 to mid 95, when the 3.4 was no longer used in the F-body they made a change to the engine. This is/was new news to me as well.

Well, I had a set of ported heads that a friend had on his S-10. When I started cleaning them to put on my car I found two hairline cracks. I'm just glad I found them before I attempted to install them. My next project is to get another set and work those out and isntall it all witht he new upper and lower intakes.

cam sensor is required for sequential fuel injection. how else does pcm know when piston 1 is tdc compression instead of exhaust stroke??? you gotta have a cam sensor to figure tdc compression for piston 1 in order to get sequential fuel injection...

Hey guys, a few days late, but just for the record...

The cam position sensor sits in the top of the block, a bit forward of the front intake manifold rail. You should be able to see it quite easily. There is a small bolt that holds the sensor in place and the wires from it run over to the lhs of the engine in the area of the Evaporative Canister Solenoid to connect to the engine harness.

The camshaft has a trigger for the sensor molded and machined into it. The trigger is a lump of material, about 0.25" * 0.25" in size, directly behind the front cam journal, diametrically opposite to the cam gear dowel pin. The placement of the trigger is in a known spot on the #1 intake cycle.

I believe all 3.4 SFI engines have the cam position sensor - can't be SFI without it! My 95 3.4 SFI has the sensor. The original cam from the engine had the trigger as does the replacement aftermarket camshaft that I recently installed. Unfortunately I was not able to find a performance cam with the trigger in place.

one difference in the SFI to the EFI I guess.
