Magnus, your comp cam.

Hey I just ordered my Heads from SSM. And I am going to be getting a comp cam. After you have had yours installed will you please let me know how it performs. You have already recommended some cam specs for me a few weeks ago. But I am thinking maybe I will wait and see what your cam does. Would you please drop me some email or reply to this post with helpfull information. I want to get the perfect cam. Thanks.

I will make a very long and imoformative post after my cam install.

I will only be able to compare my cam to the stock cam.. so I won't be able to tell if my cam is better than say a 210/214 cam..

Also, there really is no perfect cam.. there are just cams that do different things.

no, i think he needs to inform the world how his car does after the install.
pgriffith, how long did tom say it would be to get your heads/cam? i keep asking people cause he is getting a lot of f-body business now. when i ordered mine he told me it was going to take like 3 months for the heads.
magnus, why not get toms cam? he could get it to the specs you wanted. is going through comp cheaper? pgriffith, why are you getting a comp cam? doesnt anybody trust toms choice? for the record -- i do.

Nobody wants a regrind. Even with same specs it's not the same.

Read up on "lobes." Ever company has different ones. They matter alot.

Toms choice varies from person to person, it depends what you are going for. Some of us want darg racing as number one concern and thats why tom suggested i go for comp cams cam. The comp cam is a new cam not your old one reground, tom has my powerpack done already he emailed me a few days ago i cant wait 2 get it in my car

Tom said that comp cams might be better because they use new cores. Regrinds cant be as aggressive. Tom told me that after recieving my payment it will take 4-5 weeks for the heads. Comp cams said it will be about 3-4 days after placing the order untill the cam is finished. I havent placed the order for the cam yet but I should be next week. I wanted to see if Magnus has any helping info before I order the cam. I also want to see how it performs.
