  • Paging...camaro_zach or anyone else that can help!

I've been researching cams and I like camaro_zach's. Sounds great and seems to run fine, with big power gains! My question is...what were all the pieces that you replaced when the cam went in?
Obviously the cam, but anything else??

Hopefully this hasn't been posted before (I've looked and can't find it), but if it has can you leave the link to that thread?

    thanks
    -Andrew

How about reatainers? The lift on that is .504, isn't anything over .500 not a good idea on stock heads?

just making sure we are on the same page.

i dont see a problem at all with anything in my valvetrain. only time will tell. but right now the car is running like the beast it is.

...been gone for a while. Good idea to get on the same page. So you just swapped this cam in for the old one and didn't replace anything else? Good to hear that there have been no problems.

i do have some KR up high, starting at 5k, i suspect its valve float, but the car feels great. i will do some more autotaping and some testing to find out what it is and then make an offical post about it.

Think LS1 springs will fix that problem?

Zach, it's not valve float already.

a lot of people have said it could be this. if its not than what is it?

edit, keith thinks its could be my exahust leaks making the "knock" sound taht the sensors are lookin for. i will get this fixed asap and see what that does for me.
