Someone Please tell me there is a easier way to take my starter out without taking the exhaust manifolds off?? I am trying to test to see if it is bad, which it seems, and the only way I can voltage test it is to take it out because the probes won't reach up there.

i just did one on a 1994 A4 3.4 the other night... let me just put it this way i started at 10:00pm and finished at 5am it was awfull i had to unbolt one side of the Y-pipe and bend it (by pulling down and using MR.CROWBAR) down cuz i could not get the other side unbolted... not fun but you can do it.
