Has anyone here tried or is currently using an AFC of SAFC? If you have one, how do you like it. If you don't, why.

I assume you have the Apex-i air/fuel controllers in mind right now. I'm pretty sure they won't hook up to our cars. I'm not sure if they use a ALDL connection or if it's just wires that splice into the PCM wires. I guess anything is doable but I don't think anyone has it here.---<br />-\'95 3.4L M5 Camaro

Yeah, the mini-afc only has base settings. I would have opted for MAFT+ if I didn't have the jetchip. Didn't want to bother trying to sell it, plus I rather have "canned" tuning when it comes to timing, since I know little about detonation, etc.

Has anybody actually USED a MAFT/MAFT+/Mini-AFC with a Jet/Hypertech programming??? Since the tuneup is generic, I'd think there would possibly be room to "fine tune" with one of the other products. A couple of us have talked about it, but I don't know if anybody has done it or if there's much room to adjust after the generic tune. I have the HPP III and a MAFT+, but it will have to wait for warmer weather and my OBD-2 software before I try anything.

I'm using the mini-afc with the jetchip. In fact, I'm also using a tps-tec throttle enhancer too.
Yes, my intention is to fine tune the jetchip with the mini-afc. Won't be able to do it until my auto xray (like autotap) arrives so that I can look at o2 sensor readings. I've tried to tune it by SOTP, but you can't. That's too subjective.
If you're gonna play around with your MAF readings, you need a scan tool, otherwise it's a wasted effort. There's also the chance that you may cause damage to your engine by running too lean.
For now, I have the mini-afc set on 99%. I have had it as low as 97%, and thought I felt a little more power, but got scared that I might be running too lean.
