I have a nasty feeling the L32 will be one of those engines where huge gains are possible with a pulley swap and a good calibration. The pulley on the L32 (4+")seems to be larger than the L67(3.8").

I'm seriously considering trading my car in on one. If I do I'll just demod mine and put those mods on the 04 GTP. I just really wish they would have done something with the tranny for 04. :(

Are they still running the 4T65-E transmission. Granted, they're not great, but I thought they had worked out the bugs and power capabilities of it compared to my A-440(4T40)?

The 4T65-HD, or 4T80 was put along side an LS1 at one point and they didn't seem to have a problem with 350+ Ft-lbs. Other than torque steer.

If you are serious about FWD though, Yank will build you a 4T65 capable of handling 600 horsepower. Getting it to hook up is another problem.

yea, hooking up all that tq and controlling it is a totally diff. story. big tires, 4T65-HD tranny, LSD, and a tuned suspension will definitly be needed.

I didn't know someone had strapped an 4T65-HD to an LS1, hmmm. Some guys have good luck with the stock tranny but most grenade as soon as you start upping the torque. There are a couple of aftermarket places that beef the trannys but it would be better if the stocker could handle more than just a few mods.
